Hey, what's wrong with visiting dead celebrities or spending a day in the park with a loaf of bread and a bottle of wine? But if you're looking for more, check out these other Matador posts on Paris:

Ok now whilst I appreciate that listing the top 10 free things to do in Paris is a great idea I was hoping for something slightly more inventive than 'sit on the grass in the park', visit a cemetery and finally a list of bars which you can get into for free if you are buying the drinks.

All in all a pretty weak selection

If I may add . . . I don’t think any trip to Paris is complete without a trip to the Pont des Arts! This is truly a Parisian experience; having a picnic dinner on this historic pedestrian bridge at the end of the day. Young and old gather and they bring everything from McDonalds to caviar, but the common denominator is always wine and lots of it. There is no better way to meet locals and travelers, and I know this will be the highlight of your journey. Bon Appetite!
