This labor day weekend will be my 5th time to New Orleans, - one before Katrina and the other times afterwards. I love New Orleans. While I haven't physically pitched in for some of the rebuilding. I have brought many friends to spend money to help the economy. I also have donated to some rebuilding organizations the past couple years. I can't wait to come back and to visit many friends I've met over the years and hope to see some progression in some of the communities devastated by Katrina.

As a New Orleanian (pre-, during and post-K) who lives just steps from Palmer Park (and its fantastic Arts Market!), I couldn't agree more! Come on back down geotraveler! There's ALWAYS something going on in NOLA.
