“less apt to stab you than a Brazilian” ???? That’s horrible…. I am brazilian and im just tired of you american’s tell this kind type of sh****t… Violence are present in all world, some cities are more violent then other’s, you can’t generalise a all country. That’s is ignorance.

Cannot agree with Portland, Oregon making it to this list over other US cities like Chicago and Boston. I have been working in Portland for a year and I find a lot of people there get married really early. I am in my early 30s and most of the men I meet are married or in relationships…no good! Yes the weather is mild but also pretty dreary 9 months out of the year..overcast, cloudy, rainy, 50 degrees, depressing. Mind you the natural landscape is awesome and there are of lot of outdoorsy activities, but the weather being what it is you will be doing them most of the time in the rain or with the threat of rain. Not much culture or diversity in this city either. I wouldn’t consider this place a top city in the world for single people unless you are looking for something specific Portland has to offer….which would only be the good restaurants and local/live music scene and those aren’t even that great when compared to places like New York City and Austin respectively.

Hey, I’m just wondering how this works? They trade cars and share venture capital on the net. Butwhat interest rates they offer?!!! Like 14% monthly or so. Is that possible? Anybody who tried that already? It sounds like online investing.

Interesting and good to know. I agree with the description of every city I've been too. To a guy from Albany, New York, the sheer amount of interesting single women in New York City is just mindblowing. Anyone with any game whatsoever will, at the very least, experience a fun amount of flirtation. Anyway, my experience with Rio is that it fits Sascha's description of Paris more than anything else- you won't necessarily get stabbed, but your eyes will be assaulted with affectionate couples and an aura of love, relationships, and drama seems to permeate the place. If I ever return to that country, I'd really like to check out Sao Paulo, because I hear it's very different in that sense.
