Graham stops for a while on his journey, volunteering for a month with Education For The Children at their school in Jocotenango, Guatemala. Brainrotting ep 20 -

Graham tries his hand at voluntourism, working with a school that offers free education to impoverished children in Antigua. Volunteering your way around the world can be a way to get off the beaten path, meet locals and get a real, ground-level look at life in an area. You might also meet life-long friends and find a new direction in life.

    Hi,

I loved the video and just wanted to post a tidbit about volunteering in Guatemala.

I´ve been volunteering with an indigenous women´s weaving association for the past 3 months, and I just wanted to share another tip about volunteering in Guatemala. I found my placement through EntreMundos, a non-profit NGO based in Quetzaltenango that runs a free online database with over 150 different projects here in Guatemala. The database has opportunities with agriculture, women, children, the environment, education, health, information/technology; something for every time commitment, interest, and Spanish level. It contains all the contact details and information needed; I was able to find this awesome opportunity independently and totally without cost.

For those who want a bit more guidance, they also offer an in-personal consultation for 25Q (3$) or overseas advanced placements. I´d totally recommend checking out their website at http://www.entremundos.org!

Hope this helps; let´s work towards a better world together!
    -Jenny.
