Liz Clark has sailed her boat around the world, stopping along the way to volunteer and surf. But she’s never been to Seattle. So we sent Captain Clark to experience Seattle through the lens of her love of water.

We paired her with Captain Paul LaMarche, longtime Seattleite and owner of Seattle’s premiere sailing excursion experience, Let’s Go Sailing. Together, this wise local and bright-eyed visitor tackled the city’s many lakes for SUP and electric-boat adventures, while also exploring the dramatic coastline by sea plane — it’s the best view, after all. Of course, they got out on LaMarche’s sailboat as well.

Clark even found time to pursue her second passion by volunteering on an Elliott Bay cleanup, rounding out her first trip to Seattle. With all this waterfront action, what will you do on the water in Seattle when you visit?
