Budget-traveler Brandon attends the famous (and free) world’s largest food fight in Buñol, Spain.

Many young traveling enthusiasts seem to consider this tomato-throwing spree, a.k.a. La Tomatina, worthy of a bucket list bullet point. After years of unofficial tomato debauchery in the 1950s, the city of Buñol, Spain officially allowed this food fight to occur but only between the blasting of two horns: one to signal the start and another its end two hours later. Brandon hits up this festival as one of his many cheap adventures on a budget tour of Europe. I’m a fan of any free street festival one attends wearing a snorkel mask.

  1. Not sure I would enjoy being apart of it but I would definitely like to take in some of the local Tapas while watching.
