WHAT/WHERE
Anna Brones of Under Solen Media takes off on a 4 day back country snowshoeing adventure near Mt. Rainier, showing us just how easy and fun a winter adventure can be!

NETWORK CONNECTION

Snowshoeing is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors during the winter months. Snowboarding and Skiing are thrilling but there is something special about moving through a silent, white world one step at a time. As David Miller will be quick to point out, keeping yourself safe on the mountain, regardless of the sport, is priority number one.

Oh man, those are some high tech snowshoes. Sweet! Maybe I’m old fashioned?

Yeah… they’re MSR. So high tech they’re called “lightning” :) But don’t let old snowshoes stop you from getting outdoors!

Thank you for posting. It’s a great video for showing people who don’t know the MTTA a small part of all the amazing work they do. I think it will help motivate people to get involved.

Great info on Mount Tahoma Trails. Hopefully on you’re next trip we’ll have reinstalled the solar lighting system in the Yurt.

I’m glad you had a peek of the view from High Hut. On a good day, you can see Oregon (Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson) and Canada (Vancouver Island and its 7K+ mountain ranges.) Due south, you look right into the crater of Mount St. Helens.

Wow, what an incredible hut system! Really comforting and inspiring to know such a thing exists. Makes me want to get up in the mountains, too. Kudos to you for making through the snow WHILE videotaping. Impressive.
