THE IMAGES speak for themselves. Three protesters have died in Kiev, Ukraine during public demonstrations — two from gunshot wounds and one from falling from an archway where protesters gathered to fight with police — and at least 300 have been injured. The protests have been ongoing since late November when Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych’s cabinet abandoned “an agreement that would strengthen ties with the EU, and instead seek closer cooperation with Moscow.”
