Asmaa Mahfouz, the girl who helped spark the Egyptian Revolution through her famous YouTube video, urges the Occupy Movement to stay strong.

EARLIER THIS WEEK, members of the Egyptian Revolution came to Wall St. to march in solidarity. I was there to witness the event, along with fellow filmmaker Velcrow Ripper, who has been shooting at Occupy Wall Street since day one. We compiled the footage into this short piece, as part of the upcoming feature documentary, “Occupy Love.”

And in Egypt, protestors marched in solidarity with Occupy Oakland, who experienced a brutal police attack that resulted in the critical injury of Iraq war vet Scott Olsen.

In the past, commenters have attempted to show how the Arab Spring is not the same as the Occupy Movement, but the distinction appears to be thinning.

What do you think? Is the Occupy Movement akin with Tahrir Square? Share your thoughts in the comments.
