This video by AJ+ features Abril Gallardo and Jose Osoria, two undocumented college students who have helped register the nearly one million Latinxs who are eligible to vote in Arizona. Arizona is a key state in the election, and drew attention when Governor Jan Brewer argued that Republicans don’t have to worry about the Latinx community’s influence in the state because “they don’t vote.”
Gallardo and Osoria are proving her wrong. They are a part of One Arizona, a coalition of 14 groups helping increase Latinx voter turnout. Gallardo and Osoria have registered over 150,000 voters so far. Watch the video to learn more.
