For Contributors

Since 2007, Matador Network has inspired millions of readers to become fearless travelers and better-informed, more engaged global citizens. In the process, we’ve worked with thousands of writers, photographers, and filmmakers — from industry-leading voices to young creatives published for the first time. We are always looking for original writing and visual storytelling about travel, culture, and political commentary, and welcome your work. Here’s how to submit:

Matador Editorial reviews all submissions via our Creators Community. Please SIGN UP FREE, and then complete your profile.

After completing your profile, explore the menu on top. To submit your article pitch, navigate to the Dashboard and use the “Submit Work to Editors” button. Because of the high submission volume, we can’t guarantee a response if we’ve decided your piece is not a good fit. Please don’t take it personally — and after a month or two, feel free to submit something else — and continue to check out the specific calls for submissions posted by our editorial at the Creators Community.

You can benefit from being part of the Creators Community in several ways. Firstly, you can connect with fellow writers, photographers and filmmakers, as well as with Matador Network editors and faculty. Go to “Members”, and search by language, user type, interests and/or specialty.

Secondly, you will find job opportunities in our Marketplace, and see all the advertised press trips, article requests, and other opportunities both at Matador Network and other global media groups.

You can also submit your own needs and wants and post it to the rest of the Creators Community. In the Marketplace, click “Add your lead” and complete the form in full, then click SUBMIT.

Finally, note the Creators Community allows you to interact directly with other editors and contributors in our Forums, at no cost. Take action; network, ask questions, post ideas. All of this helps you gain visibility within our community.

We look forward to seeing your work.
