Al-Ain is the second largest city in the Abu Dhabi emirate. Its name means “The Spring”, and it is home to seven oases.

You can check out al-Ain zoo or the Hili Fun City amusement park, or take on the international-standard Go-Kart circuit.

The National Museum is the oldest in the UAE, and there is also the Sheikh Zayed Palace, a bronze age archaeological site, and the Jebel Hafeet mountain with its mineral springs at the base.

There are three main malls, and plenty of coffee shops where you can enjoy a water pipe in the dry desert air.
