They call them “light field cameras:” pocket-sized supercomputers that capture the amount of light traveling in every direction through every point in space – all of the light rays. The science? Complicated. The result? These crazy pictures that allow you to adjust focus and zoom on your computer.

I haven’t found any prices or even pictures of Lytro cameras themselves, but the website states they go “from sleep to snap in under a second” and are “portable and stylish enough to bring along, from the beach to the bistro.” And if that picture isn’t enough, check out this vid to see what these cameras are capable of.
