IF YOU WANTED TO MAKE AN ADVENTURE film in the past, you needed to have a huge production team. More recently, it has become possible to do adventure videos with drones, but even then, someone needs to be controlling the drone. Now, there’s a new drone called Lily which allows amateur filmmakers to shoot HD drone videos with absolutely no crew.
The way it works is that you attach a sensor to your body, which tells the drone where to shoot. Then you throw the drone into the air, it takes off, and it follows you while you do something awesome. After about 20 minutes, you can land it onto your hand, and boom: you have HD, possibly slo-mo video of whatever you just did. Give the video a watch.
