MY KNOWLEDGE of astronomy is very limited, but I don’t need to know the names and locations of galaxies, planets, and star clusters to enjoy the beauty of a starry sky. However, to observe skies like the ones photographed below, there’s one thing you’ll need to do: step away from urban areas and the light pollution they produce, and take a trip to the countryside. I promise you that you will be humbled by the immensity and beauty of our universe.
