1. Check out the Deep Ellum neighborhood.

Deep Ellum

Dallas, United States

Deep Ellum is for sure the funkiest area in Dallas! There’s a free spirit’s vibe in these streets and the people hanging there. For Austin’s fans, this might be the closest that Dallas can get! Enjoy a stroll in the neighborhood to admire the beautiful wall art all around, taste the best BBQ ever at “Pecan Lodge”, and at night choose among the many options of concerts or night clubs. Try to knock at the door of the candy store, at night, you’ll have a nice surprise…!

2. Visit the The Bishop Arts District.

The Bishop Arts District

Dallas, United States

The Bishop Arts District consists of roughly two blocks, but don’t judge it by its size: it’s packed with amazing restaurants, boutiques and galleries! There is no boring chain stores here, only unique and original places created and managed with heart and spirit. Enjoy a delicious brunch at “Old Fellows”, or a slice of heaven at “Emporium Pies”, check out art pieces and head to “Wild Detectives”, a one-of-a-kind little bookshop that you can only love! #coffee #souvenirs #clothes #gallery

3. Learn the two-step at Round-Up Saloon.

Round-Up Saloon

Dallas, United States

Located in the LGBT neighborhood of Dallas, the Round Up Saloon is an incredible place to check out if you want to hear some good country music and learn the basics of two-steps! They offer free line dance classes for beginners every Thursday night on the dance floor, and it is a lot of fun! Even if you’re not an aspiring cowboy or cowgirl, you can still enjoy their karaoke and arcade-style games in the other rooms, and just soak up the good energy!

4. Chill out at Klyde Warren Park.

5. Take a look at the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge

Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge

Dallas, United States

The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is worth checking out just for its beautiful design, but also for its recently opened pedestrian section. Enjoy a stroll from the downtown side to the Trinity Grove side of the bridge. Admire the view of the Dallas skyline from the other side, and then reward yourself with a drink and some delicious food in one of the numerous Trinity Grove restaurants, all offering huge and cozy patios!
Also make sure to check the events happening on the bridge all year long. My favorite is the “Yoga on the Bridge” session every spring, that gathers hundreds of yogis right under the central arch. If yoga is not your thing, they also offer races and bike events, among many others. #food #casual

6. Spend a day at The Joule

The Joule.

Dallas, United States

The Joule is definitely among Dallas best and most luxurious hotels. But even if you don’t want to stay there for the night, you can make a day of it! Start with yoga class at their beautiful Vital Fitness Studio. You will feel energized after a good detox class with one of their amazing yoga instructors. Enjoy a deserved shower in their luxurious bathroom, and get ready for the rest of your day: brunch or lunch at the CBD Provisions restaurant, right next door to the studio and adjacent to the hotel. The food here is both original and delicious! Once your taste buds are content, go on a little stroll on Main Street. Make sure to check out the impressive (and yes, kind of weird!) giant eyeball sculpture in the garden across the hotel. This uncommon piece of art belongs to the Joule as well! Once your done exploring the surroundings, head to the SPA at the Joule (appointment needed). Let go of any stress and let yourself be pampered! Choose among the endless list of spa treatment, and also make sure to keep some time to enjoy the indoor pool, sauna and steam room. And if this super busy afternoon left you hungry, order a banana loaf and a chai tea at the hotel cute little cafe (at the back of the hotel), and relax while people watching in the beautiful lobby… Perfect day, isn’t it?! #fine-dining #coffee #gallery #pool

7. Enjoy some out-of-this-world BBQ at the Pecan Lodge.

Pecan Lodge

Dallas, United States

Undoubtably the best BBQ place in town! The smell of the grilled meat and the woodfire will lure you into this place, as you walk by admiring the wall art in Deep Ellum. Even if you did not plan on eating there at first, you won’t be able to resist it! Make sure to taste their brisket, it’s pure meat-lovers’ heaven! #cheap-eats #food

8. Stop for lunch at RA Sushi.

RA Sushi

Dallas, United States

Most delicious and original sushi in town! Crazy Monkey roll, Viva Las Vegas roll, Scallop Dynamite roll, Mango Lobster roll… not your usual selection, and all worth tasting! Even better on their lovely patio, with a signature cocktail in hand… #food
