WHENEVER I MOVE SOMEPLACE NEW, I plot a route out of town in case of a zombie apocalypse. It just seems to make practical sense. Granted, zombies aren’t the reason that I’m mostly likely to be fleeing my city, but they’re the most fun to think about. What becomes clear, though, after living in a few cities, is that some cities are easier to escape than others. God help you, for example, if you’re in Manhattan when the zombies come.
