I NEVER THOUGHT that lightning patterns could be so interesting, but I’ve been fixated on the Blitzortung website for hours. The click noise denoting when a lightning strike occurs is both annoying and fascinating — North America in particular sounds like a war zone — but what really interests me is seeing the different patterns around the world, and charting how the lightening strikes travel. I found this to be a way better storm resource than the unpredictable information found on The Weather Channel.
