President Obama just became the first US president to visit Laos. He also is the first president to finally acknowledge the 270 million bombs we secretly dropped in the country as part of a top secret mission against the North Vietnamese. Up to 80 million of these bombs still remain undetonated in the country, making it common for children to pick them up accidentally, causing them to detonate.
