The French celebrate La Fête Nationale, or Bastille Day, on July 14. Along with fireworks and parades, a major part of the celebration is the Bal de Pompiers, or Firemen’s Ball.
FIREMEN DRESSED in full gear will host parties at their respective neighborhood fire stations on July 13. All of these will have plenty of music, food, dancing, and drinking until 3 or 4am. And some will have strip routines by the firemen. (It seems like there’s a fantasy in there somewhere….)

It’s a charity fundraising event, and a popular one – so you may have to wait in line to get in.

The party isn’t exclusively Parisian; many towns and cities throughout the country will be hosting parties.
