Drinkers in the Bay Area will have to make some tough decisions in the second to last week of September.

For example, is it really wise to hit both a pub crawl and a cocktail themed party on a Tuesday night? Events range from between $20 and $200, though tickets are cheaper in advance for most, and every event includes booze.

Saturday’s Legend’s Awards honors bar industry professionals; it’s the highest-priced event and includes a gourmet meal and table-side cocktail service, burlesque dancers, an award ceremony, and an after party.

Thursday, there are two competing events at the same time. One is the East Bay Showdown, where bars compete for charity at Tessera. Also going from 6-9PM is Best of the West in which bartenders are given specific challenges and are tapped to create a drink that best represents their cities. Bartenders from all over the West Coast will be in attendance, and there will also be casino style games.

This is San Francisco Cocktail Week’s fifth year. For more information, check out the SFCW website.
