The owner of a skeletal camera found on a California beach has been identified. The memory card found by Peter Govaars inside it yielded more than 100 photos from 2007 after he cleaned it.

Intrigued? I was, and still am. If you want to read what to do if your memory card is ever submerged in salt water, check out PetaPixel.com.

This is Govaars’ Flickr page where you can see more photos and read his update. According to the Flickr page, “The camera was accidentally dropped off the Santa Cruz wharf four years ago when she [the owner] was taking pictures of the sea lions.”
