If you’re into scuba diving or snorkeling, you know what we’re talking about. The underwater world is close, so close it almost seems like a mirror reflection. But if you venture into the water, you’ll see a whole new universe appear before your eyes. Surrounded by the calmness that comes with having your ears detached from the outside world, you’ll see strange creatures (fishes, corals, crabs) moving slowly.
This video was shot by videographer Mark Gee on the south coast of Wellington (New Zealand), and tries to give “a unique perspective of life within the coastal rock pools.” Gee says the shot itself was “challenging,” with many months of “trial and error.” When watching the video, you’ll feel thankful he didn’t give up.
