ACCORDING to Ethnologue, there are 7,099 languages spoken today in the world, one-third of which are endangered, often with less than 1,000 remaining speakers.

The map below was put together by the Alliance for Linguistic Diversity and allows viewers to locate all the languages currently endangered in the world, as well as provides information about the number of speakers remaining and their current statuses.
