Bootie beers, boofs, daytime meteors — this is how a weekend just before midterms looks through the GoPro of Matador Ambassador Shon Bollock.

SHON blogged about this race:
“My life has been chaos as usual rolling into midterms but last weekend was the Brush Creek race outside Kernville, CA. The race went well with some fast racers laying it down and I ended up taking 6th place in the short boat division off the couch from pushin pencils.”
For those wondering about the “bootie beer” scene in the video, this is a tradition among boaters: if you swim, you get to look forward to a beer drank from your stank-ass bootie at the takeout. It’s a good restorative measure for bruised elbows and egos all around.
During the weekend, Shon had the opportunity to show his latest film, Slippery When Wet, and there was a special remembrance and dedication to Shasta Boyz friend Randolph Green, who passed away from cancer a couple months ago. Respect.
