JP Auclair is “one of the most legendary freeskiers in the world.” Watch him rip up some small town streets.
THIS MAKES ME uber proud to live where I live. The above segment is taken from the movie All.I.Can, winner of several awards including Best Feature Length Film at the Banff Mountain Film Festival 2011 and Best Cinematography in the ESPN Fan Favorites 2011.
The short clip, featuring freeskier, JP Auclair, was shot in three small towns in the Kootenays (a mountainous region in southern British Columbia): Trail, Rossland, and — the town where I live — Nelson.
The first part of it has some great snapshots of the towns with glimpses of JP and his skis sparking on bare roads. It kicks into high gear just after the 2-minute mark with him flying down sets of stairs, doing backflips over sidewalks, pulling 360s over parked cars, and…well, just watch! Great song, too.
