The London Underground saw numerous celebrations and honors when it celebrated its 150th Anniversary this year. LEGO built five maps of the Tube, artists created work depicting its routes and a worker even made a song tributing the Underground.

“A-Z of the Underground” names all 270 stations of the London Underground in a video showing signs from each platform. Ben Langham, an engineer on the London Underground, a music producer, and a DJ, created the track and incorporated actual sounds from the Tube. Throughout the song you can hear noises such as trains passing by and ticket gates opening mixed in with the rhythm of instruments.

Langham has used sounds of the Underground in the past to create music too. While working as an engineer, he has recorded everyday Tube sounds such as escalators, trains on tracks, and train brakes to mix into songs.
