When it comes to witnessing “the elements” around the world, I can’t help but think of Cyclone Mick. Braving a torrential storm in the middle of the bush was a frightening experience, let alone under the cover of tin-roofed Fijian bure. Luckily, the Fijians were anything but anxious; we sipped coffee, laughed about the tossing chickens, and went searching for landslides after the brunt of it.
