FOR ALL YOU who dream of a life straight out of Cabin Porn, Jay Nelson’s designs are pure organic architecture. Inspired by Buckminster Fuller and Terunobu Fujimori, the San Francisco-based surfer, artist, and pro fort builder creates campers, boats, and treehouses from local materials like salvaged redwood fence boards.

In this video we see some of Jay Nelson’s sickest builds, including his 1986 Toyota dream camper and a ‘portable treehouse’ — just hoist the ball onto the branch of a tree and you have the sweetest hangout ever. Shot by Isaiah Saxon with music by Arp, check out Nelson’s site for more inspiration.
