LGBT CULTURE EXISTS EVERYWHERE in the world, regardless of what some people will tell you, but much of it happens in the shadows and much of it happens under the threat of persecution. Ellen Page, the Academy Award-nominated actress from movies like Juno, Inception, and X-Men: Days of Future Past, came out as gay in a much-publicized speech in 2014, and has since become an advocate for LGBT rights.
Page and her friend Ian Daniel are now releasing a documentary series called Gaycation through Viceland which is going to explore what it means to be lesbian, gay, bi, or trans around the world. The show, shot travel-documentary style, is going to be both a celebration and an examination of gay culture, along with all of the things that LGBT people have to put up with around the world. The series is set to premiere on March 2nd on Viceland. Follow them here.
