AFTER TAKING first place in ABC’s 2011 reality adventure show Expedition Impossible, the three travelers who make up the Modern Gypsies — Eric Bach, Taylor Filasky, and John Post — took off for Ecuador on a new project called Compassionate Adventure. Mission #1: Help construct a clean-water well in the Chimborazo province, alongside the organization Free the Children. Mission #2: Attempt the summit of the 19,347ft Cotopaxi, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world.
Here in the final episode, the Gypsies work alongside the villagers of Gulaghuayco, digging the last 4km of trenches and dealing with the challenges of bringing fresh water to the village. Watch episodes #1 and #2, and check back in the coming weeks to see where the Modern Gypsies go on their next Compassionate Adventure.
