Timelapses are now ubiquitous — my iphone even makes them — but some filmmakers are pushing the style to compelling new heights. Case in point: “Gotham City SF // A Timelapse Film” by Toby Harriman brings a dark, moody feel to the timelapse genre. It turns the greens, reds, and pastels of San Francisco into blacks and grays. Check it out, and try — just try — not to start talking in a dramatically deep and raspy voice like Christian Bale’s Dark Knight.
