Lek first fell in love with Thai elephants at five years old.

A HAUNTING DISCOVERY of a severely abused elephant early in Lek’s youth broke her heart, compelling her to commit her life to protecting these highly endangered creatures. What resulted is the Elephant Nature Park in Northern Thailand, home to dozens of rescued Asian elephants.

“When we love them, the elephant can feel that.”

Matador is stoked to be presenting this short film as part of a series of new media profiles produced by Humanity.TV, a collaboration between filmmakers Kerrin Sheldon and Gaston Blanchet.

In their words: “Designed for the connected generation, Humanity.TV’s videos offer a brief but intimate look into the lives of fascinating people.”

Big it up.
