The Great Ocean Road starts at Torquay in the Surf Coast region of Victoria, and ends at Allansford in the southwest of the state. Along the way you will find some great towns including Anglesea, Lorne, Apollo Bay, Port Campbell and Warrnambool. No matter which direction you head along the great ocean road – you’re sure to be rewarded with spectacular views of rugged cliffs, pristine beaches and captivating landscapes that extend out into Bass Strait and beyond.

If you stop at all the locations recommended below, it’ll be about a five-hour drive. But considering how many more places there are to stop and how much time you’ll want to spend at each place, it’s a good idea to make it into a two-day trip. • Twelve Apostles: These iconic rock stacks rise out of the Southern Ocean near Port Campbell National Park and make for a stunning photo opportunity.
• Loch Ard Gorge: One of the highlights of the great ocean road – visitors can explore beautiful beaches and take in spectacular views from towering cliffs.
• Bells Beach: This popular surf spot is one of Australia’s most renowned waves, with great conditions for both beginner and experienced surfers.
