If you saw the totality last week, you know there are no words to describe the experience. Everyone together, present, looking at the sky. The tears, the screams, the emotion. And while no images make the eclipse justice either, this video by NPR manages to get really close to what it felt to be there while the moon blocked the sun for a few moments.

As the description of the video says, an eclipse is an astronomical event, but also a cultural experience, a “moment we can’t help but imbue with meaning.” I dare you to watch this and not cry. It will be difficult.
