Skydiving is one of those things that suddenly change the way you see the world and fill your brain with unforgettable images. This will happen anywhere, no matter where you jump off the plane, but some places are even more spectacular. An example? Belize’s Great Blue Hole, which at 1,000 feet across and 400 feet deep is believed to be the world’s largest blue hole.

This video, shot with a GoPro, shows what skydiving into the hole looks like. The author’s wife, one of the other skydivers we see jumping off the plane, says this was “the ultimate skydive” of her 22 years of flying. She deployed at 8,000 feet so she could “soak in all the exotic beauty and sublime heavenly experience.” Stop whatever you’re doing and watch the video. You’ll be mesmerized for the whole 8 minutes.
