No matter how many times we read the advice about what to do and how to act if we come across wild animals, we keep seeing videos of people doing exactly the opposite of what’s recommended. The video above is a good example — a woman feeds a buffalo from the passenger seat of her car as they advance slowly at the animal’s pace. (Fortunately, we also have examples of people doing the right thing).

Why is it a bad idea to feed wild animals? Apart from the obvious (your own safety! there’s a reason why they’re called wild), human food is not healthy for them. Also, you’re contributing to these animals losing their fear of people, which might make them become aggressive.
