A photographic journey through the otherworldly landscape of Iceland, touring the country both by day and by night.
After exploring the capital city of Reykjavík, our small group will depart on an overland journey, heading south through the Golden Circle with visits to a lava cave, hot springs, and the stunning Bláfjöll Mountains.
This trip is designed to take you to some of the best locations in the world to see the Northern Lights. For two nights, we will sleep in traditional Icelandic guesthouses situated in small countryside towns—the perfect destinations for viewing and experiencing the Aurora Borealis.
Only in Iceland can you enjoy a personal encounter with the one-of-a-kind Icelandic horse, see some of the world’s largest glaciers, and watch a geothermal geyser explode near a waterfall—all in one day.
Whether you are a photography pro or just enjoy taking cool shots with your phone, our Matador photo instructors will work with you during informal photo walks and mini-workshops to take your personal travel photography to another level. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn about underwater and nature photography.
Our professional in-house filmmaker will be documenting our adventure on a daily basis, and we will give you the video of this trip so that you can relive the adventure and share it with friends and family on social media.
We curate groups of like-minded adventurers for the perfect vibe. Bring your friends and make new ones on this epic adventure.
We aim to travel as consciously as possible. This trip supports environmental conservation and local communities.
The tour can accommodate up to 14 guests.
Accommodation is provided in hotels and Icelandic guesthouses and is based on 2-people per room. For an additional fee, private rooms can be arranged or Matador Trips is happy to arrange same-sex solo travelers a shared room.
