Watch: Justin Trudeau Is the First Canadian PM to March in a Gay Pride Parade

Tens of thousands of people marched in the Toronto Pride Parade on Sunday, July 3rd, and among them: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Holding a Canadian Pride flag, the Prime Minister got a boisterous welcome from the crowd. He stopped to take selfies and shake the hands of those lining the parade route.

Justin Trudeau attended the Pride Parade previously, but this was his first time as Prime Minister.

“It shouldn’t be a big thing that a prime minister’s walking a Pride parade, and from now on it won’t”, he said during the celebrations.
