For US travelers, it's hard to believe the "Island of Enchantment" is practically a domestic trip, at least in terms of ease of travel
. Everything about Puerto Rico seems a world away -- bioluminescent bays, world-class beaches, misty rainforests...even "islander sauce" is something you won't find back on the mainland.
When you're here, go beyond the piña colada (even though, yes, it originated in San Juan) and road trip the entire island. So much will surprise you, so much will be unforgettable -- so much for that "domestic" getaway.
