I opened the heavy curtains of my room to find snow gently falling across ski slopes that towered outside of my balcony in Tignes, France. Located in the dramatic French Alps, Tignes is a small mountain town built around skiing, good vibes, and epic views. The brand-new, all-inclusive Club Med Tignes resort sits at the base of the Tignes-Val d’lère Ski Area, home to about 185 miles of ski runs to explore as well as the Glacier de Ella Grande Motte. And with mouth-watering food, next-level amenities, and the epitome of ski-in-ski-out access, Club Med Tignes is more than just a good location to get outdoors.

The amenities at Club Med Tignes
From spa treatments to childcare, Club Med is brimming with amenities for every guest.
Whether you’re new to skiing or live for the slopes, visitors looking to ski will find everything they need. Each room has its own ski locker just a minute’s walk from the chairlift, so your room won’t get wet from snowy boots and you’ll never need to lug skis around the hotel. Even better, if you’re renting gear, the staff at Club Med will put all rental gear into your assigned locker prior to arrival, so you just need to show up and go. Lift passes and group lessons are included for ages 4 and up, so any level skier can feel comfortable here at Club Med. Families with varying ability levels can also find comfort in separating on the slopes, knowing kids will be well looked after by experienced instructors.
If turns down the mountain have you feeling sore, the wellness offerings at Club Med pair perfectly with a day full of epic skiing. The spa offers single and multi-day packages, including treatments like massages, facials, and kid-friendly options. A pool, sauna, and hot tub all mean you’ll be relaxed after a hard day in the mountains.
To continue your wellness journey, you can hop into a yoga or pilates class, evening out your body from the shredding. Weights and cardio rooms are also available for those who would like to get a workout in but aren’t as into the idea of sliding down a mountain on a plank. On top of this, children’s clubs are included and available for kids aged 4 to 17, so whether you’re skiing or in yoga, your little ones will be entertained.
The party doesn’t have to end once you’re done unwinding if you’d like to stay out. From string quartets to musicals, Club Med offers its guests rotating evening entertainment every night.
Dining at Club Med Tignes
When I walked into the Val Claret restaurant, I couldn’t believe it was at an all-inclusive hotel. The smell of cured meat, melted cheese, and fresh bread was paired with sizzling fish and crackling potstickers. Every meal offered a variety of new dishes, and the presentation was almost as delicious as the food. A beautiful dining space provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, giving new meaning to dining with a view.
Though I could talk about Val Claret for hours, the apres ski experience deserves a special mention. An incredible array of treats were rivaled only by the delectable array of drinks available to welcome you on your way up from the ski lockers (and yes, all included).
How to get to Tignes
Tinges may be tucked away in the French Alps, but there are quite a few ways to get there. Fly to Lyon and coordinate with the hotel to have a driver come and pick you up for a chance to view incredible, snow-covered trees as you climb higher into the mountains on the winding road. Another popular way of getting there is by flying into Geneva and taking the Alti Bus. A handful of other options can be found on the Tignes website.
