Palawan, the fifth-largest province in the Philippines, is also the tenth-most populous island of the country. It's here that tourists get to experience the rawness of the island's culture. Unlike most island resorts, the Tao experience allows tourists to build comradery on a five-day boat ride island hopping from one tourist town to the next. On the boat ride, everyone eats together, showers together and sleeps in the same quarters.
