Wowie-zowie! These are fantastic pictures! But, I’m sorry, that Cerro Fitz Roy is just a fake mountain. Nothing real could look like that…..

I agree! I came face to face with that view at the peak of a long climb up a hill. It stopped me dead in my tracks – hence the photo.

Great pics! I went to El Calafate and El Chalten in November. The hike to Fitz Roy was amazing. Even great views from the hostel. I need to go back to explore Torres del Paine.

Gorgeous shots, Allen. I’m currently in BA–hope I’m able to make it down this way before I leave in December.

      Hal,

You absolutely should. It’s an easy flight down there from BA, and a nice break from the hustle of the city.

I was there last year and it was one of the coolest experiences that I have ever had. Hiking the glacier was awesome. At the end of the trek on the glacier the guide provide scotch and glacier ice. Now that was a trip. One of my must see for life!

Thanks for the comments! Awesome trip with some of the most spectacular landscapes I’ve ever seen! If you haven’t made it down to Patagonia yet . . . MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Great pictures. I’ve been wanting to go there, but now I have to!

Could you post camera and lens info, specifically for pictures 3, 5, 7 and 11? If you have exposure info, I’d like that, too!

    Good stuff.
