Michael Bryant was born in the small town of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, an island on the River Clyde. He grew up in Greenock, a historic shipbuilding town with important links to Scotland's International Trade and a hugely important port for the City of Glasgow. He is now settled just outside of Edinburgh. Growing up next to the River Clyde has had a huge influence on his photography. Michael loves to be around water which is why he finds the coastlines of Scotland so influential and appealing to visit and shoot. He now spends many hours at absurd times of the day exploring the east coast of Scotland, a coastline just as rugged and beautiful as the west coast. Being able to capture individual special moments is what drives him as a photographer, all of the images you see here have some particular memory or resonance for him. You can follow Michael on his facebook page: MJBryantPhotography and other pages where he is a contributor: Focused on Scotland and Glencoe Scottish Highlands.
