The news coverage of some of the female athletes’ performances at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games is tinted with sexism and AJ+’s video (above) is only scratching the surface. Commentators and newspaper reporters are having a field day reminding the world that when women accomplish something exceptional, it has to be undermined in any way possible.
