WE’VE ALL BEEN THERE -arriving late at night to a new city, exhausted from the trip and wanting to go straight to bed. But between you and the bed is the hotel staff. “Do I really have to talk to humans to check in and find my room? ” you wonder. The answer will always be yes, unless you find yourself at the Henn-na Hotel in Sasebo, Japan. It’s staffed almost entirely by robots!
Wanna know what it’s like? Wired’s contributor Gideon Lewis-Kraus stayed there and lived to tell the experience, so we can assume those cute but creepy robots won’t turn against us. Or at least that’s what the velociraptor at the check-in desk wants us to believe.
