If you’re looking for a way to overcome your fear of heights or fear of falling, this is it. Just ride the Sky Tower, at Denmark‘s Tivoli Friheden amusement park, over and over and over again, until you’re completely desensitized to the terror of free falling. The mechanics of the Sky Tower are pretty simple — you’re dropped from a platform 130 feet in the air (40 meters), untethered, into a massive net below that will soften your fall. During the fall, you’ll hit speeds of 55 mph.

Here’s what you should know before signing up for a ride in the Sky Tower:
- The tower itself is anchored firmly in four concrete foundations.
- Before making the leap, you should make sure you don’t have any serious back problems, high blood pressure, epilepsy, open wounds, or bone fractures.
- The Sky Tower will be closed during inclement weather, like thunderstorms and high wind speeds.
- You must be at least 14 years old to take the plunge, and weigh between 110 and 265 pounds.
The Sky Tower is one of several similar towers around the world, and they’re so terrifying that researchers actually use them to simulate near-death experiences.
