Hours after landing in Toronto from a trip to Michigan, I went back to my serving job at a local brewery and waited on a wedding party. One couple had come in from the Detroit area, specifically Rochester, where I’d coincidentally just returned from a stay at the Royal Park Hotel.
The Royal Park was built in 2004 in an English-manor style and underwent a full redesign in 2025 around a concept the design firm called “bud to blossom.” The palette moved from cream to sage to deep maroon, walls were adorned with floral coverings, and the rooms were reworked to feel less like a business hotel and more like an English garden in bloom.
