We dipped into our new travelstoke app to find the most mindblowing places in Iceland. Travelstoke is part social network for travelers, part crowd-sourced guidebook. What we found is pretty amazing.

Seljalandfoss Waterfall

Seljalandsfoss WaterfallSouth, IcelandStanding behind this stunning waterfall at sunset was one of my favorite experiences in Iceland.

It is an easily accessible waterfall as the parking lot is just a few hundred feet from the falls.

Vik i Myrdal Church

Vik i Myrdal ChurchVík, IcelandSmall church up on the hill above Vik. Great views down to the black sand beach, town and jagged rock coast. #church #views

Fjaðrárgljúfur, IcelandThis was one of my favorite spots in Iceland. You can walk along the rim of the canyon which is what I did to get this shot with my drone looking back on the canyon.

Skógafoss, IcelandThe mighty Skogafoss has a way of making you feel really really small.
Definitely stop at this falls on any roadtrip through Iceland.

Kirkjufellsfoss, IcelandBeautiful spot in the western part of Iceland.
This photo was taken close to midnight when I had the whole waterfall to myself.

ReynisdrangarSouthern Region, IcelandThese basalt columns near the town of Vik were such a unique thing to get to experience.

Gullfoss Falls

Gullfoss FallsSouthern Region, IcelandOne of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland along the golden circle. As with most attractions in Iceland come either early in the morning or late at night to escape the buses of tourists. I was there near midnight in the middle of May and the light was just getting perfect, and only one other person was around. #waterfall #photography

Jökulsárlón Iceberg Lagoon

Jökulsárlón Iceberg Lagoon, IcelandIt’s the prefect time of year to start planning an #Iceland #roadtrip. Be sure to include #Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. This 18 sq km lake is full of icebergs broken off from the glaciers. I loved walking along the lake shore and watching the crystal blue icebergs floating around the lake. I got lucky and got to see a couple of seals in the lake. Be sure to check out my blog for more into on this amazing place.

Bruarfoss Waterfall

Bruarfoss Waterfall, IcelandThis waterfall isn’t the biggest in size but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with its color.
The water there was this amazing blue shade that I could hardly believe was real.

SólheimajökulllSouth, IcelandThe northern lights. As if you needed another reason to visit Iceland.

Brauð & Co.

Brauð & Co.Reykjavík, IcelandThe best cinnamon swirls I have ever had in my entire life. Cute little hipster-esq live bakery just down from the central church in downtown Reykjavik. Skip the coffee, it’s disgusting. #bakery #food #hipster #cute
