Welcome to the capital of Slovakia. Ok, the title is exaggerating a bit, but as we got off the beaten path and went through and neighborhoods, I definitely stood out. In moments like these it’s all about representation, and for that reason, I always try to spread positivity. Some highlights here include Miletičova, the largest open-air market in Bratislava, and the Slavín, a burial ground and monument where thousands of soldiers who fought the Nazis in the Battle of Bratislava lie buried. Bratislava is one of the more overlooked cities in Europe and definitely worth spending the time to explore if you get the chance.
